Hey guys how's it going?
First off I wanted to say how greatful i am to be here today. I worked my ass off this game to make it to where I am and I am really proud of accomplishing this feat in making it to the final 3 with my friends Nate and CC.
Pre-merge
Going into the game I went in with 3 friends. Two of which I was very close with, and one whom I met in a previous game and was my ally going all the way to the final 2 and winning that game. I knew I'd have options to work with. There were three tribes however and not I didn't end up on any of the tribes that my friends were in except Flica. Sadly, Flica disappeared due to playing several Orgs and this wasn't her top priority. So I formed new alliances with players I never met, and fortunately I ran into Nate. Nate and I had some great convos going at the start of the game. He was the easiest to talk to and we talked quite a bit. We didn't form an official alliance until after the Flica vote really. I also talked with Cece for a bit, I also knew her from the game I won previously. Our first vote was sadly Flica who disappeared and I had no choice but to vote her off as everyone was going too. Then after that round we merged into two tribes and Cece left. We got new faces in our team and Brad attempted to form an alliance with us. However we ended up blindsiding him at TC when we thought he was just too volatile. During pre-merge I was informed by the other tribe's alliances and struggles from CC and Ozzy who told me all that was going on there. I had already known there tribe as well as mine thanks to the info I got from both of them. As the game went on i stuck with Nate and Sekou and we were able to win some immunities and vote out people who weren't really aligned with us. We went into the merge with Ozzy and CC also making it. Ozzy just barely making it.
Merge
Going into merge I had already known who was aligned with whom. We attempted to form an alliance with Nate, Ozzy, Penner and Sekou. Sadly during the first TC at merge I went away for the day and completely missed out on the vote, I came back realizing I had self-voted. When Nate won the next immunity things got ugly and my friend Ozzy was blindsided.
I was the only one who voted with him.
As the game went on Nate sent me to SI and I found a HII. This really benefited me considering during round 1 I got NOTHING at SI when I was all alone for that round. I knew if I wanted this to be kept a secret, I would tell nobody but me. Plus with CC giving me the lowdown on everyone's motives I knew I'd be ready to use this idol if need be. After Ozzy left, I wanted revenge for him, so when Penner was the vote, I voted with the Parv, Adam, CC , Yul and Steph to vote him out. In the process I saved Yul from going home. Next up would be Yul. I knew he had a hand in Ozzy's departure so I explained to Nate why I voted out Penner in the hopes he didn't think I left. Yul stirred up both alliances and got caught when CC told me he made an alliance with Parv and Adam. I knew Yul was playing both sides and he tried to convince me Parv was going home. I weighed my options and when CC told me they considered voting me, I was prepared to use my HII. But my GUT instinct told me to save my IDOL. I did and surprisingly CC convinced Parv and Steph to vote with us in getting rid of Yul. Sure enough Yul had voted for me so I was glad in making the choice I did. I saved my HII and knew I would be the target again. Next round I won immunity thus saving my HII for another day once again. The odd's were not in our favour and I knew Nate was going home. I had an option, abandon Nate, send CC to the island and vote him out or save him. I think I made the best decision in saving him cause had he gone home I may not have had the numbers to survive past round 5 once I used my HII the next round. He then found an HII and idol'd out Parv. I told Steph who the vote was knowing Nate had the idol so I wasn't worried about telling her, sure enough she didnt vote with us even though she claimed she would.
Next round Nate won the live challenge once again. I knew it was time to whip out my idol. CC told me I was the vote and she said she'd vote with them to keep her alliance in tact. My only regret that round was not voting out Adam and voting Steph instead. Either way I'm still here now but it would have been less dramatic had we idol'd out Steph. That round, Sekou flipped on us so we knew he had jumped ship. Those last two rounds were huge because they bombarded us and Nate and I survived with the help of HII's. It could have been a very different looking final 3 had Nate never got that HII.
Once again I had my eyes and ears open and was fully aware of what was going on on each side. I hadn't told anyone about my HII. Going back to when I got it, I told Nate it was a nullifier as well as CC. I had learned if you want to keep a secret, keep it to yourself. Before voting out Yul I told him it was a nullifier and sure enough, he told Parv and they all thought I had a nullifier. I also heard that Parv got paraonid in thinking I might've got an HII when CC told me about this, I believe she reassured her that I had a nullfier, though I'm not sure on that one. I did end up telling CC about it so she would inform me when they were voting for me and I told Nate at the live challenge.
Anyways using my HII was key as I would have surely gone home that round. And when it hit final five, we were planning on voting out Sekou. I knew CC had my back. Again only Ozzy knew how close I was to CC and I only told Nate how close we really were close at final five. I didn't want him thinking she and I were closer allies than it seemed. I knew she'd vote with us Sekou out and my worry was that Sekou had an item. Steph approached me promising me her vote, unnecessarily and I knew she was lying anyways so I just lol'd about and hoped Sekou didn't have a prize. He went home and then final four hit. CC told me she couldn't vote for Steph so I knew it'd be a tiebreaker.
All in all, I knew what was going on all game, I had eyes and ears and knew who to believe and who not to going into the merge. That really did help me make my decisions each round and helped my overall game. I got lucky with HII's and those two live challenge rounds were vital to my survival. I was the target for several rounds closer to the end of the game and I still survived each round including this last round with the tiebreaker challenge. I knew each round when I was being voted for and managed to overcome those and in the end I believe that is what survival is truly about. To overcome all the obstacles and still make it this far. That is what I did and I'm proud of it.
I had a ton of fun this game and met some knew faces as well as some old faces I knew from past games. I think this game really improved my overall gameplay and I look forward to playing with some of you all in future games. Thanks to the host for a great game as well.
